    First flight of my TDR 800

    Playing with low head speeds 900 and 650, will change the pinion to drop another 200 rpm.


    Need to get used to the size of this thing,

        How the hell are you seeing that against the tree !! Super smooth, only got 5 flights on mine at the moment but I'm hooked.

            I want one too! The versatility of these things is really tempting me!

            IF you run 900RPM on the head, what do you need to change to get to say 1800 or 2000?

            Just wondering what the "range" of these is. E.g could I have IU1 @900rpm and IU2@1800?

            Whats the flight time at 900rpm and what packs?

            Can you really fly at 650 rpm?!

            More info appreciated on specs, head speeds etc, im getting closer and closer to buying a TDR...

              When i flew mine at 1300 ish head speed on her first 3 test flights, I had my timer set for 4:30min. When I charged the lipos, I'd taken 1000mah out of the 5000mah packs, so I guess you could get some pretty decent flights with an even lower head speed.

                    one 6s 5000 15 min's flight time, 15% on the helijive with a Pyro 700/52 and a 15 pinion.
                    going to a 14 pinion for the next flights.
                    I've just got the 5300 6S packs so a good 20 mins

                      So you can run on that same setup but with 12s for around 200 rpm head speed no problems I take it?

                        I think your thinking 2000 rpm?
                        I would not like to try 2000, 1700 maybe on 12s

                          What's is the tail like at 650rpm? It's barely going to hold at any lower rpm!

                          I know its a different model but my logo feels 'soggy' at 900 rpm. Good fun though

                            Holds fine, it has 115 tails on at 650 flips fine rolls fine but you have to be very careful with the collective.
