My MCPX BL Caught fire - Flew crap anyway..

Well, after dragging my mcpx BL dx7s and the other things over 1000 miles. It decides on a lovely day to catch fire. Seems like the tail fet shorted on something. I've had it with this little blade. Got around 30 flights on it. Its been sent back to HH once before. Wish i got a 130x now..

Had it with this little blade,
Nano - flew crap
MCPX BL - when it flew it flew crap.

All it seems to do is the tail kicks, wag, and catch fire..

Think HH would swap it for a 130x?

Sorry to hear of your bad luck with this,, Don't think they'll do a swap though!!!
Even the 130x has its share of gremlins.

Not good As you know mine caught fire / smoked twice - they do replace them but it really shouldn't catch fire in the first place.

I'm pretty much fed up of mine too so I've lent it out don't think it's going to be seeing much flying by me again.

I was the same with the nano it was shockingly bad, the 130x is a PITA, never had the mcpx BL

Yeah first time the tail shorted second time the main motor shorted according to HH.

To be fair to it when it does fly it flies very well for its size.

Well I did put a warning about the large chip on the back of the board that gets way too hot in the McpX section...! Today my heatsinks turned up from modify.com So hopefully mine will remain cool enough not to burst into flames. My solid cf main shaft turned up so I can replace the one that came with it that was warped!

It wasn't the chip at the back of the board, it was the tail fet.

Even better! I just replaced the main shaft with the solid cf one and now it flies well, no vibes, it even auto rotates at 2 meters high I hit TH and it glided on down beautifully! just need to attach the heat sink now so that it doesn't burst into flames

Dam!!! Only just saw this! So heat sinks wont help much lol! Have you contacted HH about this? Id love to hear what they say about this one! rofl!!! To what they say for sure! Hope they replace it for you! They should come with a fire warning and a free extinguisher!
