  • Wow, what a machine!

e flite are genius! This heli is fun, and almost unbreakable. They have designed it perfectly, it flies pretty well breaks infrequently enough to keep people interested. It must make them a fortune in spares, it was always a prime candidate for upgrade. I have been doing this for the last couple of months since crimbo, here's my upgrades in order:

1" increase in length solid cf rod for tail
    v2 tail and rotor
    bob's brushless blue motor upgrade
    airtime rc bombproof skids
microheli advanced x frame (rear anti rotation pin)
microheli advanced x swash (rear anti rotaion pin)
lime green canopy for increased visibility
    6 port paralell charger cable
    6off turningy 300mah 35c batteries

    original parts:

    original 3 in 1
    original main shaft
    original head and blade grips
    standard blades
    standard main gear

flew it this afternoon in the gorgeous evening sun with new batteries and advanced x swash, what a dream! no unwanted aieleron input! An hour(including adjusting and walking to and from my flying site) of flight time.
crashed hard 10 times, not even a lost link rod, this thing really is unbreakable! This is how it should have been from the start! but, let's be honest, they could not have done this in their buisiness, I have spent a heck of a lot more on these upgrades than buying a new one, but it is definately worth it!

Any tips? Yes, research your upgrades properly, some work some don't, you have been warned!

Now over to you, I wan't more power! I have the pitch travel at 63 %, is this optimal? Bob's esc is 3amp, very efficient, I am getting 5 mins per battery! Bob said I could go from his blue motor(10500kv) straight to co5m (11500kv). Can I go bigger? Yes I have just texted bob, so should get a reply. Is the hpo5 or spin motor that much better than the co5m? my ability is, inverted, rainbows and piroflips(very ropey piro flips).
