+1 to the mCPX. I use mine to push my flying as it bouces pretty well, fly it over grass and you just pick it up and fly again. Links, skids and booms are the only things I've broken/lost. I'd definately go for the DX6i, as others have said it will see you through your next few future models. I was even flying my Trex 700 nitro on my DX6i until recently, when I swapped it for a JR PCM 9XII
My 11 year old son has got an mCPX, he moved up to it from an mcx co-axial, and has the stock DX4 which flies it ok but IMO feels really cheap in your hands. After a few initial crashes into walls where it got away from him too quickly he's got the hang of hovering it ok.
