There is no bind button on the heli. Just plug in lipo and then bind with tx. Easy.

The bind button is on the DX6i, here you go

I think the bind button is on the transmitter.

I read recently (I'm getting a DX6i Saturday) that you hold the bind button in on switching on the transmitter and you then have 12 seconds in which to power up the heli. Don't recall what happens after that other than there's some light flashes and colour changes signifying yay or nay. I'm sure someone here can explain it fully.

EDIT: Martyn beat me and his advice has helped me, too. Thanks, Martyn.

        Best regards.

Plug heli in, hold timer switch on DX6i whilst switching the TX on. Tx should bind to heli (solid blue light on MCPX etc). Can't remember how long, but you will know when it has bound and you can let the trainer switch go.
          Cheers,
          Simon

I did this not long ago.

Create profile for heli on TX as per settings you get with the CD (Regarding pitch curves etc etc). Turn off TX. Plug in heli, wait for the blue light to come on behind the canopy and flash away rapidly. Hold teh "trainer" switch up on the DX6i and switch it on while holding switch. Keep switch held for 5 seconds, let go.

Wait for the servos to arm and the MCPX and then crash it till your hearts content

OMG this things twitchy lol, its just like my twister 3d storm in shrunken form. 3 questions ......should there be servo noise (like a servo twitch but constant) ?.should there be boom vibration at low head speed?. and is it normal for them to drop head speed for a split second just after spool up (lifts off , drops out of the air 6-8 inches and then is ok after that)?.....apart from those niggly things i am well impressed with how this thing flys as it feels like a proper heli.

the servos do tend to "sing" a bit on my V2 and this is confirmed by a review i read.

Boom vibration im not sure about really...potentially yes, as long as it smooths out higher up the range your fine. my whole heli vibrates at low RPM!

Regarding the drop of head speed...im not sure. The only time i notice head speed drop is when changing to full pos or neg pitch very quickly - but the heli never drops because of it. I do find when you lift off it does tend to bounce up and its very tricky to keep it there, I tend to either go full up and keep it there or try and get it to pop up to about 3 feet and hover and end up having it smack the ground again after i lift off haha.

So i suppose it popping up and then back down 6 inches is plausible, but i never get a loss of head speed with it unless im really agressively adjusting pitch.

Put the bullet weighted blades on, I had vibration problems with mine and when I used them they all went away, Bert Kammerer swears by them
