  • Crashed - now landing gear pin stuck inside main frame..

Took the heli outside for a spin. went behind me so i kinda panicked and hit throttle hold.. but annoyingly, at the same time (bad habit i'm trying to stop), i immediately lowered the throttle as well so heli plummeted hard onto the ground because of negative pitch.

the landing gear broke.. and one of the pins snapped off and remained inside the main frame.

how do i get it out? or am i doomed into buying a new frame as well?

    HELP pls!

Tiny drill bit? Heat up a sewing needle?

thanks. would the heated needle pull it out or did you mean just melt it out?

I've had this happen a couple of times. Just use a pin to pull it out. On one occasion when it was reluctant to budge I used a very fine drill bit. The centre was weakened and used a pin to pull out the remnants. Just be a little careful not to use a drill bit that will make the mounting hole on the frame any larger. My drill bit was quite a bit smaller and did not damage the frame at all. Also make sure you have a steady hand while you drill. So as not to touch the frame.

Heat up the pin.... hold it with something that holds it firm enough for you to stick it into the plastic..... stick it in... then leave the pin to cool so it kinda bonds with the plastic. Once it has cooled try and ease it out
