  • has anyone fitted a Microheli frame

    Hello all

Has anyone fitted a Microheli frame to there mCPX the reason i ask is because i have one but i have not fitted it as i have not broken my stock one yet.

I purchased the frame as i can just change the canopy supports when one breaks and any part of the frame is available to purchase seperately.

    Hi Dave,

I fitted one to the one I got off you. It is much stronger than the stock frame, and I managed inverted slightly better on it. I must have crashed it inverted about 50 times with it, and I didn't break anything. The only thing that could be better is the boom mount, and the part where the main board screws in - don't over tighten these screws.

      Hello Stanley

Strange you should say that as i ordered a spare boom support just in case so i am glad i did.

It's great actually, really stiffens everything up and the heli flips straighter now too... Not sure why but I think it's due to the stiffer anti rotation guide. The stock one was pretty flexy for brushless headspeeds.

The tail boom mount is a bit crap... First crash and it ripped out, screws no longer holding very well (I assume because they stripped out). I used slightly thicker and longer screws (but be sure they aren't so long as to hit in the middle) and that sorted it out, no problems since.

Being able to use a 3mm boom is great, makes the sr120 tail conversion much stronger, more rigid, and easier because you just cut down the sr120 boom.
Ridding the world of Helis, one crash at a time....
