In my case this caused the servo to have way too much drag - it could hardly fly.

        It various depending on tolerance.

        Edit:

Sorry I did mean for the stock swash - the MH one may be different I do not know, if swash is stiff at all to move by hand then it's no good - needs to move almost by it's self .

Well I've put whole ones on, will try that when I get chance. The MH swash was sticking a bit so I've dropped a little motor oil on it to free it up.

How many flights has it had?
The main motor brushes go after 50+ flights and shows as if the battery is going low and get the shakes.
Changed my main motor and problem went and full flight duration again.

Oh its free on the main shaft, it was the ball joint bit that wasn't perfectly smooth running.

Just a quick contribution, on my old msr I had similar issues which I actually tracked down to the motor connector on the board. Basically one of the surface mounted connector pins had fractured hence I was getting very intermittent loss of power which caused a shaking motion. It wasn't enough to stop it flying but was enough to make it shake. Stripped out the socket and hard wired the thing, problem solved.

You've got a good one then. Better prepare for the worst, don't fly it at the 'Field of Doom'
50+, some go early, mine got 90 flights.

Blimey, I was doing 4 or 5 flights every evening most of the summer learning nose in etc, I would imagine I'm in to 100's of flights on this one.

Right so last night I put the grommits on the swash links to give it a go. It was dark so just hovered in the living room for a lipo and experienced no shaking. Will have to wait until I can take it out for a fly to see if it's fixed though.

As an aside I was checking the pitch and think I've had too little pitch all along. I've had the travel set at 75% which I think is what the manual said, but that was for the DX8 where cyclic travel is 100% for max. The 11x is 150% on those. So I upped the pitch limits to 100%. OMG is all I can say. it's a lot more responsive to pitch now, maybe too much but wont know until I'l outside as all I could do was hover yesterday. But this might be why mine didn't have a great climb rate compared to others.

My main motor is still the original one and I bought tyhe MCP-x from Wheelspin in April 2011. In that time it too has had at least one battery though it every day, so has had at least 200 flights and apart from the teeth on the brass pinion now looking a little sad and worn in the middle of the pinion, it still performs very well. As normal I have a spare ready when it does finally go, as I try to get zero downtime on my MCP-x, so it is always RTF.
