took the mcpx away with me for the weekend did a few batteries friday , on saturday i had a problem with the tail mod, when i plugged the next battery it was smoking on the 5 in 1. looks like 2 bare wires have touched in the tail motor now it seems when ever i plug her in the tail comes on full chat, looks like time to buy a new one,
anyone know any good offers or whether there is anything better in the pipeline.

Send it back to Horizon Hobby. I fried mine with a new but faulty main motor. I called them, explained the situ and the guy told me to post it back - just the heli, no need for box, etc....

2 days later what arrives at my door but a brand spanking new mCPx complete with box, manual, 2 batts, charger, mini tool kit, etc!!!!!!! Now you don't get much better than that!!

Definitely worth a try rather than just spanking another hundred and something squid....

Contact xygax, he repaired one last week where the tail motor was coming on straight away, iam sure it was like a £5 part needed only.

Thats brilliant Steve , just a heads up i was looking on the Bay at MCPx bits and saw what i thought was a new 5in 1 for £24.99 . It turns out its just a fix you send him your Board and he replces the Fets and charges you £25 squids . Top Guy steve , i can see another Eddie Gold Star coming on . Rob .

no boggy you have it wrong parts,i think parts are cheap for NOW would sound better to me.
I have pm'ed steve and will be posting it to him tomorrow, i will also be asking for him to receive an egs. even if he is unable to fix it i think it is great that he will take the time to have a look.

please take back that egs recomendation, if i paid a tenner everytime i was a prat id be more insolvent then greece.
but it will be worth it to get the thing in the air again
