            Carbon is plenty good enough.

Well you can bend ali straight after you've twatted the deck, but carbon, she just break. Hobsons choice really.

today fitted the alloy xl boom with a little carbon in the end.You need too do a little soldering on the plug to get it through the boom, the small bit of carbon that fits between the boom and helis is very fragile,i landed on the sofa a little hard but nothing to worry about and it broke, replace with a spare another little knock and broke again, the standard broken 1 with sticky tape to hold it together was much stronger. Now need too get more bits of carbon if i can find any in stock.verdict alloy boom wouldn't bother.

sorted the tail boom found that the little carbon bit that comes with the alloy boom are s**t so got a length of carbon and cut it to little bits, also did not drill the 2 little holes in because was a nice tight fit,its 100% stronger than the carbon you get with the boom and has not broke even after some heavy crashes.

Put a slit into a short piece of elastic band just long enough to fit over the main shaft and 2 linkage rods. Saves you keep loosing the rods.

A small blob of hot glue over the open end of the 2 forks works for me
