  • Mcpx bl swashplate individual parts available?

    Hi all,

So this morning I broke my first swashplate (well my friend did, it had just been rebuilt after a disagreement with the ground and 2nd battery in its dead... Again) I have broken off a ball joint on the bottom half of the swashplate. Has anyone managed to find individual parts to rebuild it rather than buying the whole thing?

Your best bet is to buy one of the aftermarket metal swashes. They have a lot less slop, both the Lynx and RKH swashes relocate the anti-rotation link to the rear which removes some of the aileron/elevator interaction of the mCPX BL. And they also have o-rings fitted which remove a lot of the slop.

It's one of the few upgrades I recommend for the mCPX BL, the stock swash doesn't fly well and is prone to damage in crashes. After I upgraded I never had to replace the swash again. I got around 700 flights and dozens of crashes out of my BL before I eventually sold it.

Thanks for the reply, I'll look into it. Doesn't that just cause other parts to break like servos or the linkages? Can you really tell the difference between standard and mod?
