Well getting to grips with a little V2 is quite a fun time, unless you keep on hitting things lol, as mine is only the V2, can I upgrade to the brushless tail unit? Or what can I use as the hollow carbon one on don't last very long against brick wall lol and before anyone says I shouldn't fly in small spaces, I didn't it was in the garden but a gust of wind slammed it into the house! Lol

Keep it simple,
2mm solid rod cut to lenght,
why spend time and money converting a v2 when you have the BL available?
brushless conversions in this micros are a false economy IMO

I bought a metre of rod and a spare boom/motor set. As I crash I repair the boom/motor and always have a spare - back flying within 5 mins.
Crash - spare boom - crash - repair two booms - you know what? Boom Boom!!!

Carbon rod. It breaks rather than break something more critical like the frame if you use a stronger materialHappy Landings.

I have heard of guys using wooden Kebab sticks from B&Q for tail boom replacements whilst they were learning, as you get loads for 99p.
