  • mcpX dont want to lift

    Hi mcpX'ers

My mcpX dont want to lift.
The only I have done is I replaced the main circuitboard on the heli.
The motor spool up as normal. I have not change any setting on my DX8 radio.

    What to check?

If the mainshaft slides up through the gear, you end up with no positive pitch.
Make sure the gear is pushed all the way up onto the main shaft.
    Trev
Lots of different things that fly

And happy to have FOUR shiny EGS

I checked the shaft through the gear and I am pretty sure it is in the right position.
There is no almost no play when I try to move the main gear.

Hey Olleben, are servos moving at all? Check servo travel, check servos are plugged in properly, check you haven't knocked a switch or trim on tx. Are blade holders right way round? Are you getting positive pitch on throttle up? Check your tx settings, model setting etc Try a rebind.

Now, I believe I found the problem. At least part of it.
The servo arms was not exactly straight. See pic.
I dissmantled the arms and straighten them up - align them. So now the heli lift. However, not with same force.
The thing is I have reduced the setting for pitch and throttle, like "noob setting" (max 74% and 63%). That was done from the beginning. So any reduced performance will be revealed.

Now, I dont know what the reason is that I had loosed performance in lifting. The heli lift now, but not with same force as before. I had checked all settings in radio.
          Maybe something in transmission?

What are your throttle and pitch curves set at? That servo arm doesn't look terrible but will help if it's straight.

If your maximum pitch setting is 74% that is probably your problem. set your pitch curve in your tx to something like 45/45/50/75/100 in normal mode and idle up then set hold to 50/50/50/50/50 if your just learning. set your throttle to 0/50/80/80/80.(soft start in the esc will take care of nasty surprises) in normal and 80/80/80/80/80 in idle up..set hold to 0/0/0/0/0. now if you get into difficulty just hit hold and it will just fall onto the long grass (you are learning over long grass aren't you )
