    Hi

I'm transitioning from the MSR to MSRX and just wondered if there is a list of suggested spares I should consider ordering at the same time.
It might be that it's best to just order the heli and wait and see what breaks first, after all after flying my first heli (MSR) for 2 weeks now everything that was supposed to break is holding up fine, including the skids, and I have crashed the thing heavily countless times. It's a tough bugger!
I'm not even sure if the basic BNF MSRX comes with any spare parts.

    Thanks

Accuratly predicting crash damage is a difficult task, you could have 99% of what you need in your toolbox but without that 1 thing you didn't expect you're grounded and waiting on the postman anyway. I wouldn't worry too much about having parts in stock, most of the dealers can have Blade bits out to you "next day" so youre only paying for what you need rather than shelling out on a bunch of stuff that just sits in a drawer somewhere only to get given away when you sell the model on.

Thanks Gate88, I was hoping that was the answer. I feel like I wasted money buying a load of spares for the MSR having discovered how durable it is. Anything damaged so far has been easily twisted or glued back into place.

ive always found aligntrex.co.uk has got a big selection of Blade spares in stock and he's on the button with his dispatch so you'll rarely wait more than a day for bits.

I have to ask why transition to the MSRX? It's just a FBL version of the MSR and, discounting the stabilisation method, you're effectively replacing your MSR with another MSR. While I, of course, have no right to dictate what you spend your hard earned cash on I'd strongly suggest either a simulator or a MCPX-BL (if you want to keep to indoor micros for the time being) - preferably both - would be a far better use of your money if you're looking at progressing to the next stage
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days lived

Hi. I'm open to other suggestions, so thank you. I am just getting fed up with the TBE, as it's really effecting my practice, so someone else here in the forum suggested the MSRX to carry on practicing with (like they did), seeing as it can be picked up for just 39 quid and I already have the TX, batteries and charger. I do use a sim but just get fed up with it and much prefer practicing with an indoor model. I will still take a look at the MCPX-BL, but at my skill level (hovering in each direction), I think I just need something without TBE to keep practicing with, or am I wrong?
