  • HelloCX 3 Problems on Aileron

    Hi

I have binded the helicopter to the DX6I as instructed and even done various setting on the TX that were listed on various websites.

The swashplate and the servos do move when I move the right stik on my DSM2 TX when the heli is station. But in flight the aileron controls have no effect. I have had the heli a couple of weeks now and have done various settings on the TX itself.

The left stick controls the throttle and rudder ok, but the right stick in flight has no control on its banking right or forward and backward flight.

What could be wrong? Any advice appreciated.

    Thanks

Why not use the standard setup in the instructions? Is this a new heli or secondhand?

Its a new heli. I have read the instructions and checked the swashplate movement. I will take it to where I bought it from tomorrow and let him have a look. I feel like such an amature, oh wait I am. I have levelled the baldes before I ran them, but its puzzling why there is no movement while it is in the air.

I set it up and connectd to the CX2 in Phoenix and it was fine on the sim.

        Hi

Check the swash plate hasn't separated this is common on all the blade cx2 and cx3 models, this would certainly give you no cyclic controls in flight. If it has it is just a simple case of pushing it back together and then invest in a metal swash in the future to stop it from happening again.

        Cheers

                Hello

I took the heli down to where I bought it from and he saw the part above the swash plate was broken (Part number EFLH1217).

I have disassembled the CX3, I had a bit of problem with the screws on the shaft. I couldnt apply enough torque to open them so I bought a Thunder Tiger Screw Driver set. I now have it stripped down just need to put the part on and put it back together. Im a bit nervous about putting it back together but I am enjoying it. Theres alot of learning to do and I hope one day I will be able to build them aswell as fly and configure them propperly.

I hope to fly it on Saturday.

I also have a boxed Blade 400 Which I am so wanting to fly but not doing so yet.

Thanks for the Support, any advice appreciated!

You'll soon get used to taking it apart and putting it back together. I started with a CX2 and found it a bit too large for indoor and a bit too small for outdoor. I found the msr really useful. It usually survives flying into walls without damage and its possible to fly a figure of eight in a lounge. It is more stable than a Blade 400 but a very good stepping stone.

Once I fix it and have it flying. Thinking of putting on Ebay and then concentrating on the blade 400.

How good is your flying on the Blade 400. On the sim and in real life. It's about the most difficult size to start on.

I know the Blade 400 is a twitchy heli to start on. But its the age old question.

Do you go for something bigger which is more stable but more expensive. Or something smaller which is cheaper but hard to keep stable and fly.

I have taken my chances with the Blade 400. I have stabilizers coming. I will fly it in a field with them on. No Idea how it will go as I have trying hovering and landings on Phoenix for about 3 weeks now and I am still struggling.

                        Thanks
