  • blade upgrades?

When chucking my CX2 around in a rather vigorous manner after only having enough light to do 2 batteries through my blade400 tonight, it has become apparent that im getting blades touching.

    This is not good.

Say going full pelt down the length of living room and then chucking in a fair amount of back stick, thats when I get it, so on extremes of control input.

As you can imagine when the blades touch they kinda slow down, lol.
I've checked for loose screws etc, nothing apparent.

I've checked fast-lads but cant see any blade upgrades.

    Any ideas folks?

    hi,
I had this problem, especially when flying outdoors, so i made a new inner shaft 10mm longer than the standard one, and also made a 10mm spacer to fit between the outer shaft upper bearing holder and the upper rotor hub. Took about 15 minutes to make and completely solved the blade strike problem, even when flying my CX2 somewhat enthusiastically in the wind outdoors.

Now that sounds completely logical, however my manufacturing prowess leaves something to be desired.

Not sure how I might achieve this, I will give it some thought.

      Thanks Sparkle.

well i disagree that you have out grown it Joe! maybe you need to practice getting the turns just right and "feeling" the limits of the heli. for indoor practice you realy cant beat the little bladecx. i would much rather fly mine around than use phoenix all the time. you may regret selling it

I've put a new set o blades on her, and I've toned down my manuveres.

It was mainly when doing full stops and turns rather than flowing turns.

I'm not going to sell her till at least killing the new trex 250 a few times

Got to have something to do in these winter nights fast drawing in.

                            Cheers
