Nope. With the current pricing, I can't see anybody buying the 700X. As soon as stocks don't shift however, the pricing should come down to a more realistic value. It may well end up being too little, too late though ...

Eflight's brand and name are synonyms with

      Cheap/affordable

      Beginner

      low repair cost.

They have missed their target market by miles and even if it is really good they'll have an uphill battle to get people to change their opinion of a Blade. They dont have that image to trade of. Very strange ! Bit like hyundai making a great sports car but charging ferrari prices. It aint going to sell.

        Blade 700 is out

Given I've seen the quality and attention to detail in the AleeS Rush 750, I can't say I'd ever contemplate spending MORE on a blade heli kit.

Even for the Americans it's an easy choice, both are American designed heli's so the patriots can still feel happy,

Am I right in understanding that pricing is a bit less insane the other side of the pond?

EDIT : I take my earlier statement back. Having a quick search, it seems the $799 being asked for the kit "over there" is pretty much the same price as a 700E DFC as far as I can tell. Difficult to tell really as I don't know the major distributors in the US, but amainhobbies seems pretty common ...

            Blade 700 is out

Same price as a goblin 700 with blades... At least it's not more over there.

Well they are aiming high at least. It is worth pointing out when comparing cost to the AleeS that the latter does not include blades.

I know which I would pick though.

It seems a bit daft at that price, It's going to be very interesting to see what the new raptor e700 will be released at. The US pricing is very nice indeed.

And lets not forget it's biggest hurdle it's a BLADE heli.

I would fly one , it's a nice heli, but It has a big task to tempt me away from Th Raptor G4 ,....... Having said that a Raptor boom at £32 is just outrageous !

Yeah don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking blade and saying they are rubbish; I've never owned one. I just think think they've completely msised their market. It isn't in the same league as ALeeS/SAB, yet it costs more? Good look Blade, you've got balls.

Following a discussion on HF, I've just realised that the Blade 700X combo includes HV servos, so the fair comparison of the £999 700x against an Align would be the 700 DFC HV super combo at £1369. The 700x doesn't have an ESC, so add on £214 for a CC Edge 120HV and you have a complete apples for apples comparison (or as near as damn it)

The 700x is then cheaper than the Align ... who'd have thought it?

                        Really, lol.

If it was priced a few hundred cheaper then yes I would agree just not at that price. Trex 700e HV GTI DFC EXPERT everytime for me until they sort out the pricing

It's the latest trend in the hobby business, grossly overprice a low to medium quality kit made in Far East like everything else, preferably call it "boutique", pay for an "exotic" brand (ie. not from Far East), package nicely and people will buy it in droves. Works great for a couple of brands, might also work for Blade, who knows.

And it's got a beastx not a 3gx, so a fbl system you might want to use instead of one you won't even look at.

Basically you can buy all of the other quality heli's for similar money so why would you buy a Blade? It will probably be pretty good however, parts availability will almost certainly be really good but it just needs to be cheaper.
