Having seen how Twister and Blade are both made from the same eflight/Twister parts bin, I wouldn't buy any Blade bigger than a tiny co-axial. It's still a Twister in all but name.
Someone in HH's marketing is seriously deluded if they a) think a Blade 700 is even in the same league as any other 700 and b) think it's worth more than £200 for the kit - having the name "Blade" on your heli is not going to make you a chick-magnet.
I foresee a marketing exec vacancy there soon, while they get the current one back to reality.

I will keep an eye on Kings Lynn for when they discount it like the 450 3 d , now that was worth the 130 quid I paid for it.
                T Rex 600 n pro, Raptor 50 ( on the build table) T Rex 500 , Nano and a Blade 450 ,T Rex 250 ( still in box )
                Aroura 9 , FF9 with specky mod , dx6i
                Oh and loads of Planks.

                  I pretty much agree...

I know it's not a popular standpoint, but I stand by my opinion... I think the Blade helis are overpriced crap. Admittedly, the 450X was probably a fairly decent 'bang-for-buck' heli but you only have to google the model name of any of their heils and add 'problem' to the end of the search to realise how problematic they can be.

I've only had one personal experience of a blade heli. It was a 450 3d that I received as a present. A already owned an Align 450 pro and a Chinese clone 450 pro, and compared to the Align offering and even the Align clone, the Blade resembled a plastic toy that someone had built from a napkin doodle they'd retrieved from a litter bin at the Fisher Price R+D department. It was the first present I have ever respectfully declined to accept and suggested that a refund was sought.

Like I say, I know the 450 X was better than the 450 3d but there's no way on earth I would own a 700 Blade, if only for the simple reason that I'd value a couple of batteries more than I'd value the heli.

Each to their own but I personally wouldn't commit to putting electronics in this and flying it, even if it was free.

It seems on HF the few replys I got they are happy to pay the price for it bizarrely?

Surely the best idea would have been to introduce this fairly cheap as an introduction offer like some have done for a month to get them out there then charge more as if you got some out there then your one step in front but now they are always gonna be 2 steps behind.

                      .
It's not bizarre to the Americans. They see HH as a local firm, and Align as Chinese. It doesn't matter that most parts will be fabricated overseas. They have HH local, who provide excellent support.

To a yank, the blade is a local built machine, from a local firm with easy/good support. Align are foreign, support isn't local and it just isn't from the good old US of A.

What HH need to realise is that what works over there doesn't necessarily work elsewhere.

Just to throw my slant in,.....
i saw the 700 at helimasters and it's certainly not a plastic toy, very well designed , sort of a raid of other people's heli's good points , not dfc , so that's a plus ;-) and looked very tough , I liked it .

now the price ,...... Agreed its expensive , but so it the Raptor G4 , Rrp £749.99 but go to any flyin and you can't move for G4's and 720's.
i am sure at a more reasonable £599.99 say , they will sell and they looked great to me .

Spot on... Just like Harleys... One of the worst bikes in the world but they're loved in America because they're 'All American' (even though 99% of it is made in China).

                          Very patriotic those 'merry cans.

Ben - if you check your thread on HF, you can see I finally managed to get something out of Blade themselves Not much, but the undertone I read is that the UK pricing isn't really supported by the US parent company. Strikes me though that if they wanted to do something about it, they could. Time will tell if they do or not ....
