Im still not keen, I started out with a Blade 400 and have looked at the various models on the range and Im still not convinced there value for money on the 500 and 700. The Blade 450X I think was the best buy and cheap to repair etc

I was with Nick and have to agree it's a well thought out kit. In my head it said good all round 700 and an alternative to an Align. James said it was going to be about $800 which in £ sounded like a great price, but it seems some body has decided to add some fat to the UK price. Shame as it was defo on my list.

Have to say, dumb move by HH uk. In the states, blade get cut more slack as they're seen as a US firm, therefore preferable to many versus Align - the "Chinese copycats". They therefore seem to base their pricing around the US market without realising that elsewhere it simply doesn't cut it.

That said, I would expect HH uk to be more savvy of their local market and price accordingly over here. Unless that is, they simply can't maybe if the parent company is enforcing worldwide guide prices.

Anyway, shame, by all accounts from those that have seen it, it's a good machine. Priced to fail though here it seems ... :-(

Well over priced, but i have seen James Haley flying it at the Helimasters, but he had fitted a scorpion motor not the eflite crap, the airframe is simple nothing what so ever innotive about it, just what was out there 2 years ago, but if the airframe was say £399 it would be a good reasonable buy, but at £679 thats a joke, no where near the quality that, that o=price demands.

I feel for the likes of James Haley. He would have had very little say over the list price, - that would be decided by marketing managers, not engineers or pilots. They will have done some excel spreadsheets, estimated sales, profits etc. and come up with this price that they feel will drive them the biggest return on their investment.

I applaud James and the other techies for designing a heli that drew compliments at Venlo.

I despair at the marketing people that may taint his and their work.

I don't think they have cut the price yet. Standard HH practice is to advertise a never-used RRP and simultaneously offer a "discount" price.

The RRP isn't a real price and the discounted price isn't discounted. To all intents and purposes, the lower price is the real one, and we're yet to see a discount price.

Silly marketing tactics. .....
