Blade PRO Series

Does anybody know what the future holds for the Blade PRO series?
I quite fancy a 550 or 600x and notice there are some great deals to be had on these models.
I don't own any Blade helis, as iv'e never really been a fan, but i really like the look of the PRO series.

I'd be interested in your feedback if you own one.

same as above own both the 550x and the 700x both are really good models,

thinning the fleet down at the moment and might have the 550x up for sale if you are interested?

700x is really good. 550x is a solid heli too although the stock canopy lets down an otherwise solid airframe in my opinion. Love the way they both fly, the 550x is my "go to" heli each weekend.

Blade have pretty much discontinued them though hence why deals are available. But parts support has never been a problem with Blade so for the money now I don't think you can go far wrong!

I got one too and maidened it today, it's fly's really nice. I have a Vortex on mine.

There's a couple of parts I want to upgrade.

Canopy mounts and the horizontal stab mount.
But other than that.

I'm impressed with it so far ☺

Just be careful upgrading the horizonal fin mt.
I did this and the boom support rods kept snapping in flight due to the rods being pulled in too tight at the mount end.
Had 3 separate occasions and then i reverted back to the original plastic mount and been fine ever since.

Yeah, canopy mounts are just bizarrely bad - on a heli that otherwise flies really nicely! I modded my mounts slightly using the lynx mounts to ensure that the canopy never fouls the servo arms. I did a thread on HF ... I'll dig it out ...

What sort of flight times are you guys getting with the 550x?
Mine has the standard pinion, but I think I will struggle to get anything more than 5mins sport flying.
I am going to lower the head speed a touch and see what happens!
All in all though, the 550x is a nice piece of kit.
I have an Align 550 V3 which I have converted from DFC to FL, so both helis have a similar feel........it will be interesting to see which one will become my 'go to' heli when I'm nipping out for a quick flight, because right now it's hard to choose!

I'm using the 16T pinion, but even with that and using the Castle governor, I'm getting 4 mins out of 5000mah packs with roughly 25% to 30% left in the packs.

I tend to fly only in IU1 mind, so not ragging the life out of it. Can't recall what my IU1 head speed setting is though! .... I'll check later and report back!

I have an issue with the beastx.
The elevator is hitting the bottom of the anti rotation bracket.

What's the why to sort this.

Not used the beastx before.

You probably need to re-adjust the cyclic limit 'L' in setup menu.
Go back into 'L' on set up menu, push elevator & ailerons to there limits then back off using the rudder stick to adjust until there is no binding etc
