Update :- after a few gentle flights i have been hammering it around now, and it does have a strange violent wag if you are working it hard, especially at the ends of collective, i did notice the the tail pitch slider was slightly loose , but even after doing it up it made no difference, so Thanks to MarkGR1 i have a copy of the Beastx sheet so i will have a play at adjusting

I've had no issues so far with my 450x, tails locked in even during tail slides and backwards flight with no wag at all, did have a slight backwards drift but recalibrated the AR7200 and now it's spot on, will sit there in a nice hands off hover if wanted...

Just go through a full and proper setup, main shaft 0 degrees in all directions, servo centers for swash level, swash travel end points, tail end points, max and min pitch, all setup with a digital pitch guage, no point rushing any of it because it'll result in dissapointment, then test fly, set gains both on the unit itself and gyro gains as recommended in the transmitter, the 450x is actually very stable and will perform well when thrown around too

Thanks for that. What digital pitch gauge do you use? Well need to get one...

I've got an RCLogger one, works well enough for what we need, things were never that accurate 'back in the day' lol

well mine behaves well in backward flight, backward rolls and loops etc all fine, any hovering flight is spot on too, the only place mine is wagging and when it does it, it is really violent, is on a very hard climbing turns, neg or pos. i will have to continue reducing gain, i have changed to alloy pitch slider arm as the plastic one on mine was sloppy.

Maybe your just bogging it down and it's loosing enough headspeed to effect tail autority?

thats not impossible ! i have been removing pitch because i had way to much early on, but i have backed it off to 11 both ways, full pitch climb outs pos and neg are good with no bogging at all, i just think reducing the gain a tad now may just do it
