450x Tail wag

Hi All, i have just bought a 450x but not set up yet, i was reading a review in QEFI november, and luckily the reviewer was using the same TX as i (JR DSX9) so i settled down for a good read, only to find that the reviewer couldnt get rid of the tail wag? his method of overcoming this was to swap TX to a DX6i ! ! ! horror , and then later tested it again on a DX8 , all with good effect, and zero tail wag ! ! !

it would appear that there are only a very few radios with this fast a reaction time of 11ms, and all other TX's ( DSX9 included) are 22ms,

so my question to you owners of DSX9 's is how are you finding the tail of this model, and has anyone a DSX9 and cured the wag ? also what was adjusted ? Beastx is new to me.

when i had a jr ds11 it was fine (dsm2 22ms)

I thought all dsx9 were 22ms, maybe possible that mk2 maybe 11ms but don't think so

yes my DSX9 mk2 is 22ms, but the reviewer Kevin Crozier said that he changed his TX for one that could support 11ms to stop the tail wag !

Im gonna politefully say....that thats a load of old cobblers LOL the jr/spektrum radios are fine with the 450x...and there is no magic tail waggle just cause your useing a jr radio lol....but you could just buy a spektrum it would be better anyway LOL ;-)

that review in QEFI is seriously offputting, hence why i posted

i could see no valid reason that the JR DSX9 would not work

nope there is no reason another way of looking at it.....the heli communicating with a beast x so does that mean jr people cant use beast x lol

I Am with you guys on this,

i just couldnt believe that QEFI would publish such a thing, its a shame really, it reads as if the JR DSX9 will not work properly with this heli or AR7200bx .

i can see the advantage of the faster frame rate, and for the reviewer Kevin Crozier maybe that was the easy way and it just worked, rather than spend some time on setting it up better.

Hey Mark, not me mate, just a chap doing a review for a magazine, who got a bit carried away, lol

the review if any one wants to have a read, is in QEFI, he did state that the heli was nice though with the AR7200bx

Seems to me that all the blade range has this tail wag?!... About time they sorted it out! My mcx2 has awful wag my nano cpx slight wag I'm getting a 130x for Xmas that I now have read has tail wag issues and now this thread on the 450! I think HH needs to start selling rc dogs lol ha ha

dont hear much of wakera or other brands with tail wag...?

Please dont cross it off the list, its a very good 450, and they have been around for some time, and each model in this range just gets better and better, i was merely pointing out a bad review, and wanted to draw in opinions of others, who may fly with this combination of TX and model.
