dx6i settings

Please could someone tell me some good beginner settings for the dx6i, i have the manual but there was a separate sheet of paper saying there was an error in the manual, but ive misplaced the paper with revised settings.

450x, beginner. getting good on the simulator, can fly my msr all day long and feeling confident to get the 450x and hover out. also going to get a mcpx BL to play with

Ok, so you haven't yet flown inverted outside the sim?

Is you're intention to fly 3d? scale or sport flying

Theses are important ground rules, to start of on the right foot.

My 450x is my first proper heli, so just want it set up for basic maneuvers for now, im no where near ready for 3d or inverted yet.

Stay in "normal" mode and don't switch to idle-up for the moment.

Dx6i is restricted to 2 flight modes 'without getting complicated', and 5 point throttle and pitch curves.

If you ever intend to fly 3d/sport then then a linear pitch curve is easier to get acquainted with from day one!!

The main difference being hovering at 1/2 stick or hovering at 3/4 stick.!!

The book setting's as may be wonderful, dont place you in the real world!..
