I bought a 450 3D. Total beginner. I bought a nano cpx but wanted to fly outside so got the 450. I've had two flights. 1st hovering about. 2nd tried to start done turns and crashed. I plan to fix it soon. But how/what should I be practising to improve cheers.

Hi guys
I haven't got a laptop to be able to use a sim. My dad has Phoenix at home (beginner too) but I go there maybe once a month. I just meant what exercises should I start doing. I could fly my cpx in a slow circle/square. (Not smooth tho)

Getting the hover right is the first thing to get sorted, the hover gets the heli up, and it brings it down again.
Um.. if you havn't got a sim, i would suggest getting some training legs for your 3D and just practice on a smooth surface (not grass)
Get it so that it's light on the legs and just practice skipping left/right. nose in tail in etc, if you know what i mean.sigpic

Hi guys
Can someone recommend some better servos for cyclic and tail? I'm just finally getting round to looking what needs replacing after my crash a while back.
Need new blades,
New blade grips,(bottom in pic is bent),
Flybarl is bent on one side.
New push rods. One from frame to awash is bent. Are they all the same or are frame to swash different to swash to head?
Need new boom and supporting struts. Tail and belt seems ok.
Anything else I should be checking for?Last edited by Shep0479; 30-06-2013, 07:03 PM.
