Closed Sunday dude, I think the only Hobby store I've found open on a sunday is Fratton Model Center and they're very antiquated

I think some people use 2-3mm nuts glued together, I remember seing a video around. Either that or you can just use Trex 450 or 500 paddles as they're heavier.

Yep, not sure who it is but I'm sure somebody was using Trex500 paddles either on the Blade400 or the Trex450 to make it more stable.

bloody hell they would give more lift than the main blades!(too much can be counter productive...but where that limit is .i dont know)

wanted to go shopping tom. O well will have to wait until monday or whenever.

Thanks for the vid, it looks extremely helpfull! Do you all add expo to aile, elev, and rudder? The video says 30% but i might put 20-25 or something in like people in this thread have said about.

The only thing with the trex flybar conversion thing is earlier boggy said about having to dremel two flats in the flybar, im 00% sure i would mess this up so the collets sounds a better option.

The neext question is sort of on topic, can you change all the settings shown in the video with the helicopter turned off or does it have to be on for the settings to work?

change them in the tx with the heli off

the two flats are not absolutley needed but do help to stop the flybar from turning.

expo is to personal preference. start at 25% and if its too numb just reduce it slowly till you like the feel.

Have set all the settings to the same as in the video, the only problem now is when i stick it in fmode it will go flying backwards i reckon as the blades tilt back.

Will compare them with you settings.

Do you think i will have to do the recall thing with my dx6i,
                        DX6i Recall?
                        i havnt got a sticker.

Is horizonhobby.co.uk the same as horizonhobby.com?

edit, ive got a sticker saying ha909x in the battery compartment but its on the side and not on the back.

if its new no you shouldn't need to,the recall was about 8/9 months ago.

dont quite understand the flying backwards comment fred

Thats good then, i foun a sticker saying ha909x in the battery bit not sure if thats what they mean.

Basically when i stick it into fmode its like someone pulled the right stick backwards (elevator i think).

Open up the battery cover and check the the number on the right hand side next to the Quality Control pass sticker. If it doesn't match then yours doesn't need to go back.

As for the settings in Flight Mode 1 making the helicopter fly backwards, is most likely due to the swash not being level. Hence why a trained eye, allen key or swash leveller for 5mm shafts. Secondly, why are you even attempting to fly in what most likely is a stuntmode and will bring the heli to a constant headspeed no matter what the collective? Unless of course you've set the throttle curve to a linear one for both flightmodes. Just be careful dude, I'm already visualising the forth coming post on these forums

dont worry, the main blades arnt even on they havnt been on for days. im just trying it all out without the blades but making sure it doesnt spin up too much. fmode is stunt mode isnt it? its the switch at the top left, next to the trainer switch.

Yeah i need to follow a video i found earlier about setting everything up and setting the swashplate level and the servos to 90 degrees etc. Will have a go tomorrow.
