No probs mate. You'll need wheel collets with a hole diameter of 2mm.

i think the 3 gram will be about right. the 5s will make it a bit too sluggish.just unscrew the paddles and fit the collets. check you have equal distances between the collets and flybar carrier.

if you want to try the 5 gram they will work but i would not use any expo in the tx.otherwise you will struggle to hold a steady hover,it will be slow to react and with expo youll end up "chasing" it with the right stick

            Hi,

I tried to put some collets on the fly bar of my Blade 400.
I removed the paddles, the small screws but I am unable to remove the flybar.
It's look as if it's stuck with glue on the end where the paddles are screwed.

            Have any Idea ?

            thanks

not quite sure what you mean? there is no need to remove the flybar itself.undo the grub screw in the paddle weight. then unscrew the paddle and weight together.slide the collet on and refit the paddle and weight, then tighten the grub screw.slide the collet up to the weight and secure the grub screw in that.

[quote=Boggy;112765]basicly it means adding a small amount of wieght to the fly bar. ill post a picture in a minute! and as gazza says above a small adjustment in the tx

Sorry, I know this post is getting on a bit in age, but this could be rather useful to me in the not too distant future. You mentioned a small adjustment to the tx, could you explain exactly what this adjustment is, please.

                        Many thanks.

                        Chris.

adding expo to the cyclic controls. everybody likes different settings so its really a case of trying it and see what suits you best. personaly i used to use 10% but some went as high as 25%.

Boggy, I have found these paddles on fleabay and was wondering if they are the right ones I should be getting for the 400 3D: hs1192 Flybar Paddle flasher 450 CF Trex 450 SE V2 on eBay (end time 06-Dec-09 15:09:52 GMT)

Are these a cheap pattern part, or the real maccoy?
                            Thanks mate

HS1192 are the correct T-Rex 450 paddles at some 6gms each. I use 8gm paddles on one of my Blades which I believe are T-Rex 500 items @ some 8gms each (H5009T) and the Blade is still very responsive but not too much so - that is with wheel collets as well.
