Had another flight with it today(not easy as it is pea soup fog here),
Could only really hover it about or I would have lost it in the fog.

Tail drifts a bit in normal, but in idle up it holds really well, so I think you just need to up the head speed if you are flying in normal and it will be sweet.

I`m so impressed with the heli all round, can`t wait to get a clear day so I can get plenty of time on it.

For £259.99 it represents such good value(everyone should have one)
Even better, I had a DX7 already, so bought it for £215 without the DX6i

        Align T-Rex 500CF(Gone)

T-REX 250, had it since crimbo(bloody tail) want to smash it with a hammer
        T-Rex 700......STUNNING (Thirsty) (Now with 3GX)

No plank flyers were hurt whilst making this post

yep i found that click idle up and it locks really nice! must be a speed problem then.

hows your charger working mine seems slow!?

£44 discount for the dx6i?? was that really a good deal.?? i'm not critisizing but its a nice bit of kit, im glad i kept mine.
i have the dx7 but the 6 is a good addition

          quick edit
just seen your other post flatspins i see your point now £50 is bargain for anybody that wants to move to 2.4

              Ron

My main thought on this heli was the fact that it came with the DX6I,whats your view on it,it looks pretty cool but has it got plenty of functionality..

Also the heli looks really good in the pics and the price is stunning

When you next pop over to DMHC i would love to see it

of course you will be welcome Chris to fly it whatever!
the dx6 feels a lot chunkyer(is that a word?)than the 7. its made of a heavier plastic and looks like it can take a bit of abuse.ideal for myself as i plan to take it to work with me! its got all the same curve menu's etc but only one idle up. all the trims are digital so no danger of knocking one across etc. and a ten model memory.also the menu is on a scroll wheel witch is a bit simpler to use. plus the manual says its full range.
so all in a nice bit of kit.
i'm working over the holiday period but if i can wangle it(doubtful) i'll be down for the fly in.

For me if a Trex & Raptor pilot like Ron is impressed with this cheap little RFT then it's praise that's good enough for me.

Like anything I guess it needs a little tweaking to bring out it's best, so could we be seeing the first agreeable CCP RTF that's broken some of the bounds and is the BCX2 of the real heli scene?

A good quality machine and controller packaged and highly rated.

                      Oh I do hope so.

5 min test flight in the garden late this afternoon.

I'd agree with all of the above - a great package. I like the LCD screen on the radio and the throttle lock at zero while getting canopy on and heli in place.

I was a bit twitchy at first, but am fairly sure that was me being nervous at flying the thing first time out and tensing up my fingers - might try a bit more expo to smooth things out.

Next stop idle up - I'd noticed a bit of tail wag too, but from others posts, flicking the magic switch seems to sort that.

Can't wait to see someone who really knows what they're doing wring one out a bit.

                          Andy

One question no-one has answered as yet..

Does the package give you the option of mode 1 or mode 2 transmitter..
Being a Spektrum if like the DX7 (I already have) it can't be changed.

Found a link to a demo flight and uploaded it here..

Looks really good for the money..

i converted a 2.4 tx (cx2)without any soldering i'll have a look inside my dx7 and see if the same can be done!

right the dx7 looks complicated but do'able, would mean a fairly drastic strip down.

the dx6 looks simple as the eflite tx. or may be possible to do just swaping plugs and springs

ive looked all over the blade box and there is no mention of modes. ( my cx2 had a large sticker)
