trex 450 head on the blade 400

has anyone put a trex 450 head on their blade 400 and if so is it relatively simple? by simple i mean is the shaft the same diameter, just a straight swap with a bit of shortening maybe, or is it a little more involved. if you have done it what did you do and how much does it improve the old 400

now, please dont start by telling me its not worth upgrading the 400, as its just for a bit of fun. i know the trex is a better heli, but as everyone sells of their 450 fb heads quite cheap these days in the relentles quest for fbl then i thought why not give it a go.

I did tht on my b400, i first started with a sonix head (is a remade 450sev2 head , not tht good quality), then i put a trex 450 pro head on it, it was awsome, it made the heli more presice and felt more stable and miles better at 3d!!!!

As far as i can remember you keep the origanal main shaft and buy this swashplate blade 400 helicopter radio control rc aircraft from sportsmoto ltd
(as i dont think the oeiginal b400 swashplate will take the larger trex 450 balls) it all fits on nicely with no modding.

looks like i am now answering my own thread! just found this on you tube...sev2 head works. so does the 450 pro, thanks to heliguy chris

maybe i should be thinking trex fbl head and cheap old 3g and joining the fbl revolution.....anyone done a fbl conversion to their blade 400?

This was wot my b400 looked like this was about 2 yrs ago, it was sold on fastlads secondhand.

Pretty much everything was upgraded!!!!! Flew really nice
