Using Trex 500 canopy mounts

I recently ordered some Trex 500 canopy mounts to make putting on the Blade's canopy a lot easier. What I was wondering was how people have attached them? If I use the threaded rods that come with the mounts, the mounts bind with my servo arm. My servos are HS65MGs and I have the ball link in the 2nd hole out from the centre with the arm trimmed down. Thanks.
