  • Blade 400 stock gyro

On Blade number 1, I have a GY401 so its been a while since I used a stock gyro, for Blade 2, I have a stock gyro, the gain on the DX6i is set to 75% at moment but there is also a gain on the gyro itself, where should this be set?is it minus due to remote gain doing it all or all the way plus so the gain on the tx matches and responds to the gyro set gain?
    Im so confused lol
    Nik.

Not sure its used...think the TX settings over ride the manual ones
    T- rex 600n V-bar
    Logo 550sx V-bar
    Logo 600sx V-bar
    Logo 600sx V-bar night flyer

      Hi Sqwidge,

From my B400 Manual, Page 24:
The G110 offers a Dual Remote Gain Adjustment Feature. This, along with the DX6i's Gyro Sensitivity feature allows the gyro mode (Standard Rate or Heading lock and gain values to be remotely set by the transmitter. This means that the Gain Setting Adjustment Pot located on the gyro itself will not be active and will not be used for adjusting gain values.
Looks like you can just forget the gyro pot like I do on my stock one Sqwidge . Does make for an easier life.

some people find setting gain pot to 50% is good and others claim that setting gain pot to 100% is the answer.I think it is up to the individual and how their gyros work.I had nothing but drift with my stock gyro.It would drift left, then I thought it was ok and it would drift right.Never did hold steady.I ended up replacing it with a MKS 292 which is better but still not great.I'm thinking of trying the new KDS 820 gyro, but am waiting to hear some results from others first.I have read nothing but good things about the new eflite g210 mems gyro for 65 bucks might be the answer.
