  • Dead Blade?

Hi guys. Got a second hand blade last week, and have been tinkering with the setups, etc. Inputted boggys settings for the beginner settings, done pitch settings on the blades and done the swash. tooke the blade downstairs, and spooled up on the laminate flooring to check the tail/trims. needed adjusting, so took back upstairs and adjusted. House took a minor electric outage, (Knocked out the sky and internet etc.)
When returning with the machine, i switched on the tx, lowered throttle stick, connected battery, but only the gyro will init, I got no travel on any stick, and the reciever has no orange light, apart from very briefly when batt connected. I tooke out the ESC, and it is a Align RCE-bl35X. I disconnected the motor, and get the same symptoms.
Only thing I have not done is re-bind the tx, (is this ness after changing some settings?), as I do not have a bind plug.

    Any ideas.

Shouldn't be neccesary to re-bind but can't hurt.
I would try re-binding and see how it goes.
Also check the voltage to the Rx from the ESC.

I would try re-binding as it looks the only way forward at this point...

problem is.. you don't have a bind plug..! You sure you didn't get it with the heli? basically, it doestn't look very much.. just a black servo type plug end with a wire looped from one end to the other..

You can make one. You need to short the signal to ground so a loop of wire joining the 2 ends of the 3 pin plug. NOT THE CENTER ONE!!! ( I took out a perfectly good Rx doing this Doh!)

            Lol

Ok, stripped out the esc and reciever, checked the voltage to the reciever, was gettin 6v. Thought that was strange, guessed my reciever was dead then. Plugged the plug back in, and lol, it all works again. Must have been a dodgy connector.

Am going to LHS on sat, so will pick up bind plug, and some new connectors for my piece of mind, thanks for the input guys, I have now learned how to bind the tx, (if needed), and check the voltages from the ESC.
