  • buttery shafts :-)

    hi all,

Ive had two minor prangs now with the blade and both times the feathering shaft and main shaft have been bent. are these things made out of butter or what ?

I have ordered toughened feathering shafts but cant see any tougher main shafts. are there any out there at all ? i thought about making myself a solid shaft, anyone done this ?

    cheers all

Well if those 2 parts did not bend then what else would break that was maybe a bit more expensive?

When I was racing RC cars I used to bend the kingpins that held the wishbones in place.

I heated them up with a torch untill they were red hot and then quenched then in water to harden them. This stopped them from bending so easily.

However I did eventually snap the mountings which were much more expenisve to replace.. so Dashik has a good point about breaking something else.

i fitted solid landing gear on my blade and when i crashed i broke the frame. Had it had normal landing gear it would have reduced the impact.

When your next searching for parts look for twister storm 3d bits and see if they do what your after, i was advised to do this as they are identical to the blade and are cheaper, Mad...giz a text when it arrives please so i know you got it ok
