  • Eflite Charger

I have only used this once and it doesnt seem to be working correctly.

I know that the batteries are definitely flat, but the charger is showing it is fully charged (3 solid green, 1 solid red).

Is this normal, I have left it for 5 minutes as I wasn't sure if it needed to discharge or balance, but there has been no change.

you may have overdischarged your batteries mate. have you a friend with a proper charger or your local h/s who can give them a "boost start"and get them charging again. or at least they can test them and see if that is the fault.

i bought a second e.flite battery that did it out of the pack! thats why i suggested this

( just a word of warning the e.flite batteries are expensive and only last about 40 flights before the power drops badly. mine are down to about 4 mins now before their tongue pops out and their eyes bulge!!!)

Considering the price of the Eflite batteries too. I ended up buying some Zippy 2200Mah Li-Po batteries from America in the end. They worked out at around £15 each delivered to the UK

Will have to get a decent charger soon, but all these 'little' extras' are quickly adding up especially when I am supposed to be saving for a mortgage deposit.

Hate to say fella, but 3 solid green and 1 solid red means it is charging, and for fully charged it shows all 4 soild red.

read the top again and you will see.

            hope this helps

I was sure that it meant that green were fully charged, but i charge my batteries up when i'm at work so i can keep an eye on them, but I have left my instruction manual at home.

The online instruction manual i came across online wasnt the RTR version so didnt have all the info about charging batteries.

                  Thanks for the reply

Yup, had the feeling this was going to get expensive.

Was worse last night seeing what all the experienced helli owners had.

"humm, thats a nice aluminium case, ill get one of them. Humm, thats a nice battery charger, ill get one of them. Oooo CNC upgrades, I like the blue, ill get some of them. Spare blades, thats a good idea, i will need them im sure"

                      The list could go on
