  • Binding 2 TX memories to the same RX

Is it possible to Bind Model 1 and Model 10 to the same RX in my Blade 400. I want to use model 10 for experimenting etc so i would like both to work?
If so do i just follow the binding procedure in the manual or will this overwrite the model 1 bind?

    Thanks

it will overwrite the first bind mate. best way to experiment is to adjust as you go. write down your base settings and then make the adjustments you need, you can stay in the menu's and fly to try the new settings. i.e if your changing your expo there is no need to come out of the menu to try it, just hover or whatever, land make an adjustment then hover again till your happy then move on to the next menu. once you have all the settings you need switch the heli off then your tx and it will save those settings

its realativly simple to rebind if you want two memories. just clip the bind plug into the rx spare socket switch on the heli then with your model memory pre selected switch on the tx whilst holding the top rear switch forward (marked trainer) till the rx light goes solid then switch off the heli and tx remove the bind plug and its good to go

If its a DX6i then use memories 9 and 10. They share the same bind number.

ok great i will give it a go (so this will mean both 9 and 10 will work without having to re-bind)?

One of the many design features. I didn't find it but read it somewhere and thought it unlikely. Seems to work like that though. Perhaps they anticipated the requirement or there's a bit missing.

Seems like it was a bug that's now been fixed:

I think that means that if you send or take it back it can be fixed. My dx6i is a recent replacement from Inwood and 9 and 10 share the same modelmatch code as each other. Perhaps we need a sticky for new dx6i users listing the problems. The programing wheel goes as well after a while.

I think the dx6i is excellent for use with contras or a sim or as a backup, but using ordinary cells in a tx isn't as reliable as a soldered pack, but you can check the individual cells and replace them if necessary. There's a big argument on this in another forum. Depends on the plating on the terminals I think and we'll know how good that is in a few years. Good thing to check. Easy fix though to solder in a proper tx pack. Lots of us around who'll do it if the shops start charging a lot. The dx6i charger I got from inwood was a 9.6v version. They suggested swopping over the tx and rx connector. Then I got the dx7 and the charger is just right.

Value for money though the dx6i is amazing. It was £85 for the tx and a dual rx (AR6200).

What, you mean like this: http://www.rcheliwiki.com/Spektrum_DX6i :-)

It does seem more like a 'feature' than 'bug' to me. When I get a new model, I like to play around with a few different setups, and having to rebind each time I wanted to switch would be a pain. But it really needs to be documented.

Just a sticky thread listing the dx6i problems so that people know what to expect and the fixes available. The carbon rod mod is interesting but those arms are meant to flex but not break. Most people would appreciate it if the manufacturers told them about it and offered to send a spare trim in a SAE or made them available for a pound or so that a visit to the field doesn't become a disaster. Hopefully there is a manufacturers fix, Boggys washers sound good to me. Even cheaper for LHS to give them away and tell people there is a problem.
