they are complicated buggers but nothing that cant be sorted
firstly have you set up a new model memory for the sim.?as we know thats ok
if thats done we now need to sort out the model memory for the 400 itself.Last edited by Boggy; 14-03-2009, 06:24 PM.

right select the model memory that you fly the 400 with.
click forward the throttle hold or better still disconnect the motor.
power up the heli and tx.
put both sticks in the middle position.
your two rear servo arms should be level. the front arm inside the frame should be level. and the push pull linkage on the front servo should be at a right angle to the servo body.
and last but not least the swash should look level.
you should have 0 degrees pitch on the blades. if you dont have a gauge use line of sight down the blade the tip should be inline with the flybar(second picture post#9)
if all looks ok
move the throttle stick up and down. all three servo's should move together,as you raise the stick the swash should fall. as you lower it the swash should rise.( if there is a problem go to the reverse menu in the set up list and alter the pitch/airl/elev servo's till they all work together correctly.
now the right stick.
stand behind the heli.
each movement of the right stick should move the swash the same. eg forward tilts the swash forward etc. if you have a problem go to the swash mix menu. you will see the 3 values set with either a + or - %
if the swash tips back instead of forwards change the value of the elev mix to opposite what it is now set at(eg from +60% to -60%)
if the swash tips right instead of left change the airl value to opposite.
if the swash tips at an angle when you apply forward stick change the pitch mix value to opposite.
sorry if all this sounds a little condescending but i wanted to make it easy to understand.
try this if your still having probs post back

Hi,
Try HERE.
There are some great videos from a guy called Sokal on how to set up your head/swash. Dead easy to follow.
I have just bought a 2nd hand B400 having owned one before and needed a refresher on head setup. Mine was a country mile out of level and the blade pitches way out. Within an hour of watching the vids the head/swash was perfect, +10 / -10 pitch, 0 pitch at centre stick and perfectly tracked blades. The videos make it dead easy to do. Hope this helps.

With all the fiddling to get Phoenix working, you probably switched off the 120 degree (CCPM) swashplate mixing at some point on at least one of the model memories. Are you sure it's switched on for the model memory you're trying to fly the Blade with?Neil H: Certified
