  • Blade 450 motor shaft

Hi all, I've been having a look at my Blade 450 3d and noticed there is a fair bit of wear in the motor shaft where it spins in the top and bottom bearings. This is giving a bit of play between the pinion and the main gear. I was wondering if anyone has ever changed this shaft for a new one or does the whole motor have to be replaced if the wear was to get to bad.

    Thanks

    Blade 450 motor shaft

I think this is well known , or I have read something on the other forums regarding this type of problem on the 450 3d and 300x , I would recommend to swop out the motor for a scorpion HK-2221-6

    Worth searching on helifreak forum

I had the bearing disintegrate on my 450X motor. It was the output bearing. I found the inner race welded to the shaft and the outer race was nowhere to be seen. The little ball bearings were cuddling the motor magnets. New motor I'm afraid.

Hmm. Sounds like I'd better buy another one before it ends up Like yours did!

Thank you all for your advice.
          Much appreciated.
