I have been flying the Blade 130x and love it ,I now want to fly something bigger and the Blade 300X look`s interesting.I have not flown anything bigger then the 130X and am new to helicopters . Does the Blade 300X fly like the 130X or is it more difficult then the Blade 130X. I can fly the Blade 130X around no problem, I am not up to 3-D flying , I think that is way above my flying skills but I can fly the Blade 130X around in circle`s and do nose in hovers and fig 8 so I am hoping I will be up to flying the Blade 300X but I want to make sure before I buy it

I have flown the 130 x and a trex 250 which is similair to the 300x, I personnally wouldn't get a 300x instead I would save my pennies for a 450 or 500, much more stable able to handle wind out side. I always found the trex250 size a bit to agile in my novice hands, this is going back a good year maybe now it would be easier, plus I found it was to small to be enjoyable to fly in wndy conditions.
So if I was you I would stick with the 130x and get a 450 or 500 as my next model.Current Fleet,
T-Rex 500 Pro: Demon 3SX, Revolution/Rail, Blades, DS510M, DSDS655, CC BEC Pro,
Goblin 500: Vortex VX1n, DS510M, DS655, Talon, Scorpion backup guard, Revolution 520 Blades.
Phoniex Sim, DX9, PL8 charger, Fusion 600watt PSU

I've just brought the 300x and it seems to fly nice as stock bird very sim to 130x in feel but I have only put 2 packs thru it in the street at night so not really pushed it yet time will tell, but loads better to fly than the 250 and far easier to work on, infact I'm not even going to fly my 250 again just going to sell it off now I have this one.Originally posted by Moron View PostI have been flying the Blade 130x and love it ,I now want to fly something bigger and the Blade 300X look`s interesting.I have not flown anything bigger then the 130X and am new to helicopters . 300x will do you fine as a next step up from the 130. However as you are flying the 130 around easily and flying nose in you can now go and fly any size heli, get the biggest you can afford. As you have already learned on the 130 you will be totally wasting your money on the 300x as you will soon want something bigger.

I went the other way, moved from a cheap 400 which I could never get on with to a 300x which is great outdoors but was too big for our indoor sports hall so got a 130x. If anything I find the 300x easier to fly, it,s not quite as skittish, but it can get quite a head of speed up. It handles the outdoors much better than a 130x and using 1300 mah batteries is still quite economic. My flying skills sound pretty similar to yours, i.e not yet tried anything which involves using negative pitch and I have dialed in some expo and rates in on the main controls.

A German friend has the 300X and the 450X, he flies them both the same and likes both. I have the 450X and love it. I personally wouldn't buy a 300X because I have too many 3s 2200 Lipos and the 300X uses smaller ones.Been there and done that, but never stop learning.
Now too many Helis to mention?

Thanks everyone , after reading all your coments it has got me thinking, may be I would be better spending a bit more and go for the Blade 450X. I just hope it not to much for me and end up crashing it all the time. Still I will have to take the next step some when , might just as well be now !!!
