Testing Scorpion motor on 300 X

My 300 flew great until the lower bearing in the motor fell apart. Installed a brand new stock motor and I started getting the tilt to the right. Bought a new Scorpion 2208-4660 and no tilt for 4 flights. Still flying scared waiting for the tilt but its good so far.

Any idea why the tilt happens? Is it thought to be vibration? Perhaps different mounting for the control unit would help? Maplin tape?

Yes the tilt is caused by vibration. If the motor didn't fix the tilt I was going to change the Beast mounting tape. All looks good now.

Thanks. Always good to know what might happen before it does. Did you try a drop of oil? Sounds as though the stock motor isn't balanced that well compared to a scorpion.

My 300x had a crash, after repairs - got the right spontaneous roll. Tried resetting the AR7200BX, but still on high headspeed had the roll to right. I am thinking of changing the stock motor to SC HK 2208-4660 - do I use the same pinion on it ? Any difference in flight times ?

My main gear, main shaft and feathering shaft are new.
