  • Couple of questions about this heli

Im thinking of picking up a 300x seems perfect size for my back garden and a really decent little heli from what i've read about it.

Just looking into battery packs, what are people using? whats the 300x battery connectors?

Also any recommendations on a decent charger? also how would i go about charging 4 packs at once?

    Thanks in advance

    Dan
Blade mSR, mCPX and 300x..... all of them broke at the moment!

    Hi Dan

There is a 300x for sale on here at the moment.

If you can wait the cheapest batteries will be from from HobbyKing. No lipos in stock at UK warehouse but if you use the DE warehouse shipping will be far quicker than from China although it will be more expensive.

Charger wise I converted an old PSU off my pc and use a similar one to the IMAX B6, a balance board will allow you to charge more than 1 battery at once (I only currently parallel charge 1s batteries so can’t offer much more help sorry)

There are a lot of people with far more knowledge than me but I thought I would get the ball rolling

Sorry to hijack the thread but I'm also considering getting a 300X but the barebones version from bladehelispares.co.uk (only £77.00!!!).
I already have a beastx with satellite and 3 Hitec HS5065 servos and an Align DS420. Has anyone tried any different servos or motor options yet?

Had a look on their website but could not find it listed.
Do I have to look a bit harder?

Ah man, its not there anymore! When I looked on Friday they only had a few in stock. I guess they must have stripped a few kits down for spares...

It seems like not many batteries are EC3 in 1300mah, how would i change the heli to a XT60 plug? Would it need to be soldered on?

Well heli has arrived, looks good cant wait to try it.
Ordered 3 nano tech batts from the link above with a accucel 6.

Training gear is on its way too, never flown anything larger than a mcpx.

How would i go about 'dumbing' the controls down until i get a feel for it as i imagine this thing is gonna have some power?

Yeah, I spotted it again a couple of days ago, only one left in stock. Hopefully it'll still be there by payday
                        cheers
