    Blades, lipos and canopy or put towards 450X?

    Hi all,

    I have a 300X which I am very happy with but was looking to upgrade the blades to Edge, replace canopy with a Fusuno/Microheli and get some more lipos, this would be pushing £100 (which seems a lot for a small heli) or should I sell the 300X and put the £100 in and get a 450X?

    Depends why you bought the 300X, and if the 450X meets your needs. Certainly, there are more "hop up" options available for the 450x however, so more bling to choose from!

      I sold my 450 3D RTF to fund the 300X but it bugs me that a good set of blades for the 300 cost more than a set for a 450! I'm planning on getting a 500 soon so might be best to just stick with my 130 & 300 for now?

        You'll notice very little difference between the 300x and the 450x size wise. Especially compared to a 500-class (in particular, if it's one that swings 500mm blades rather than 425's). In your position, I'd spend a little on the 300x - CF blades would really help by allowing you to open up the throttle fully, and keep it to go with your imminent 500. Maybe forget the Fusuno canopy though ....

        Extra LIPOs depends on your situation. If you can charge at the field, then you may be able to charge what 300x lipos you do have whilst you're enjoying your 500 (and vice-versa!)

          Good point regarding size, not much difference between the 300X and 450X.

          Think I might keep the 300X and get a 500 as well.

            Hopmeup RC in the states do the BLH4501c. For $10.83 , I have just ordered 4 sets total cost with shipping was £54. Or £ 13.50 a set , even if I get stung with VAT it will work out at 15 a set.

              Thanks for this, I'll get some on order, nearly two sets for the price of one in the UK!
