  • After all the hype

I don't see many conversations in this section. I guess the SRX was either not as popular as expected or it flies flawlessly.

I think the forum is quite quiet generally TBH.

Shane. Agree there, a little disappointing but I guess it's a machine that hasn't excited the diehards. For what it's worth I guess mine is 6 months old and I fly it more than any other in my small fleet. It's fairly crash resistant, cheap to fix when it isn't and as stable as you could wish for in the first 2 modes. A little underpowered perhaps even with the power mod but that Side as an outdoor trainer I love it.

Diehards don't fly beginner/trainer models. I guess most on this site are beyond the fixed pitch stage.

Maybe the guys like myself write in the beginners rather than the specific page. Wouldn't say it's not met the hype at all.

              Hi Eucli

After I have mastered forward flight in all orientations with my MSRX it was my intention to get the SRX, but others have suggested a 450.
Whatever I choose, it'll be a little while yet. For now I just want to see what SRX owners are saying about the heli, so thanks for your input.

Tom, my bad, my poor choice of words. I should have said '...doesn't excite the diehards...' And for perfectly understandable reasons.

Shane. I'll be going for a 450 next and am just hoping it is more manageable than my 130x! I'm still trying to get repeatable figures of 8 on the 200 with good height control and nice balanced turns but am worried that as it is so stable it's coning me that the 450 will be as well. The CP 130x is just a nightmare to control and once again today the tail swallowed a blade of grass so that's another d-gear to change before I can fly it again.

I'm seeing more and more posts on the 200SRX both here and on Helifreak, so there's definitely interest, but with it being a model aimed at beginners you're not going to see a huge amount about it on the forums. Most of the people who are on the forums have been flying for a while and have moved past this kind of model.

The 130X will fly similarly to a 450 or larger heli. The larger models are more stable which makes them a little easier, but CP heli's require much more active flying. Maintenance is generally easier on the larger models, and they'll handle a little grass ok, but crashes generally break a lot more.
