130 blowouts

Hi can anyone give me the answer to why the 130 has decided to start blowing out on me. Not flying 3d, gain set to -8 as I have done ds35 mod, always know when its gonna do something because it starts to twitch flick it does this a couple of times then lets go causing pyro, lift again and all is good for a minute or so then repeats. Don't even have to be touching rudder and still does it.

Mine did the same. The umbrella gears in the tail were worn. They looked absolutely fine, only by holding the tail rotor and GENTLEY rotating the main rotor could you see the slipping (or vice versa).

No tried that even locktighted both the gears on the tt rod to double check.

Either your gears are worn, or your servo needs to be moved on your boom

Gears are fine upgraded metal main. The servo position is interesting does that make a difference?. Mine is about 12mm down the boom because I had to cut slide bar and re bend it for the ds35 servo horn.

It does, because it's position on the boom dictates the central position and throw you get at the tail

Ok thanks. Well I've straitened slide rod now and pushed servo back against mainframe will try now and post result. Thanks again.

There are two trains of though in my head on this, position it so when the servo is in the center of it's travel then the tail is also in the center of it's travel too, or position it so the tail is roughly at hover pitch when the servo is centered.

Test and report back, i'm going to be doing the DS35 to mine in the next couple of days

Tested and its worse no warning just pyro,d and heavy crash popped both cyclics...... So nope position didn't affect it.

If it's worse maybe it needed to go the other way

Check the tail boom isn't split.
I had the same problem, checked gears, servo etc.
Turned out the tail boom was cracked allowing it to twist.
I looked ok by looking at it, but gave it a twist and the crack appeared

Bingo!!!! Tail is split at the end under the tail grip holder. Thankyou....
Next prob where can I find the cyclic servos in the uk.......

I had this problem and found the pitch slider and its bearings had worn causing slop in the tail. I fitted a upgraded double bearing pitch slider Lynx Heli Innovations 130 X DoubleBearing Tail Pitch Slider LX0304

Nice one. Can't believe both popped the tops duh. And as above answer can't be the bearings as I've fitted rkh slider and case about 2 wks ago.
