How to insert main gear to the rudder, can it be done i with hand and tweezers?

Been at this for hours, if i remove the small gear to rudder, i can get the main one ok
but cant get the small one back in, whats the best way to do it, can it be done with
one working hand or do you need two? I have seem the video how to get it out, getting it back in is the problem

Hi colin,

I found that it you line the teeth up and put it in at an angle and then push it up it clicks into place.

A bit hard to explain on here.

PS. do it as James shows - with the heli upright. Put the B gear on first (onto the torque tube), then with the heli upright, this will hold the A gear roughly in place between it and the top bearing.

Then use a small screwdriver, reaching down through the top (where the mainshaft will go), to clip the A gear into place. You basically use the screwdriver to push the front of the A gear into the cup.

Sounds complex, but once you know how to do it, it's actually very easy. Usually takes me about 10-20 seconds ....

I normally do it by pulling the boom and TT out, then put the B gear in to place and just slide the boom and TT back in to place, you may have to rotate it to get the flats lined up, i find doing it that way a bit easier even though a servo has to come off, i'll try the other way if i ever have to do it again.

I did mine today and what a pain in the arse to do. In the end I took TT then put the main gear with the TT gear in place then slowly slid the TT onto its gear. Bloody tricky.

Tomatwalden your my Hero for today, never knew there was another video showing how to put the gear in, its been all day i have been at this, after i saw the other video i had it in after 2 attemps, many thanks to all who replied glad to say it seems to be working fine i will go back to flying my MSRX now.
