Tail twitching?

Hi,

Been flying most of the day with the 130x, been good.

It seems to have developed a twich in the tail?

Anyone had this?

Suggest you check that the tail unit is firmly pushed forward as mine did that last week -result being no tail control with a permanent pirouette!!

Once I did that , no more probs

Mine was caused by the pitch be slightly out in the tail blades...

Well, cleaned the servo and pushed the little tail bar back in slightly as it looked like it had come out slightly and looks like its gone.

That was strange, I think the servo must of had something in it, hmm.

I will say the 130x does keep me thinking what is going to go wrong next.

i know what you mean, im still learning so i got a 130x as it was said can take a knock, i had one tail strike result = rounded inner tail drive, had one blade strike my fault and stripped main drive cog, then today took it to a big open field in the air prob 30 secs gust of wind hit it i panicked as it was getting away from me so hit throttle hold and hit the ground result = broken blade grip ball joint, i have had it a wk now ...... pilot error i know but got a msr x and thats taken masses of hits and only broken skids.

Unfortunately the bigger they get the harder they crash, larger mass and more momentum/inertia mean more broken bits, once you get up the sizes a crash will usually cost at least £100 to put right (blades/boom/feathering spindle) so in that respect these little things are quite cheap to fix and keep airborne

To be fair, an mSRX is much smaller, is fixed pitch so much lower headspeed and is less complex (fixed pitch direct drive tail rotor). It's not that surprising that it takes more of a beating. Compared to a Trex250, Blade 300x or higher, the ability of the 130x to take knocks is pretty much second to none.
