what upgrades do you have which are worth while

as the title says what upgrades have you put on and which made a difference

i have changed the tail pitch slider to the microheli one which made the tail responce better
i have also ordered the microheli swash as the stock one seems to bendy and has play on the bearing

I've changed the tail bearings,huge difference.
Also the tail pitch slider,much better.
And tail blade holders,no major difference,only replaced because a ball broke off plastic ones
And the metal main gear n kbdd main blades flies excellent now

With all the Lynx Metal Head Upgrades the heli feel very precise compared to stock, all withstands hard crashes well. Also the Spin motor creates superb power if you tone it down to 75% flat line.

tail pitch slider and swash that's all it needs really IMO, u could also add a couple of bearings (mcpx main blade grip bearings do the job nicely) to the stock tail case to take up the slop with the stock flange bearings.

a DS35 servo on the tail is a nice improvement.


there really is no need for the upgraded rotor head etc the stock plastic stuff does the job fine, IMO again

Metal stuff is for resilience, O rings and blades for better flying

i have just put the microheli swash on it seems very lose on the ball links. has anyone using this swash used swash grommets or just left it as it is

I wouldnt think you would need the o rings on the metal swash Rob but will be interesting to see what others think . I have put a Lynx pitch slide & boom braces & Microheli tail box & weighted tail blade holders on mine which seem pretty good . I did bend the tail shaft which is weak but you can use the standard one on the weighted one . Ill be interested to see how you get on as i will probably start on the head now the tail is sorted . Ive got the rc hero o rings on mine at the moment & it seems ok but i imagine the alloy stuff will be a bit more crash resistant . I did buy some extreme blades but found it pretty twitchy so i put the bullet ones back on . Cheers Rob

the things i have changed is head to extreme titanium, and extreme grips, all good, and rakon alloy tail pitch slider, thats been good too, KBDD mains and tails, good. rakon solid main shaft, good. kyles O rings and bearings, good. and it flies real nice, just as i like it, fast, agile !

i have put the metal A gear on. it was slightly smaller than the plastic one and because it has 2 screws to hold it on it seems more central. the gap has increased between the gear and the board is now bigger looks a lot better. the heli fly's great.

I use the Extreme fast response blades. I feel they are the best for cyclic response. Really nice flip and roll characteristics. Tried the KBDD blades, while they are also very good, they do seem to warp after a while without any hard crashes. Just seems to be as a result of the high head speed i presume. Maybe something to do with the composition of the material or could even be heat or humidity related. Either way they warp, as do the tail blades. Plays havoc with performance
