    130x xtreme production blades

    Just got and quickly tried out the new xtreme production blades for my 130x. Was never convinced with the mcpx versions, but oh wow! On the 130x the difference over my KBDD mains is noticeable. The thing just comes alive with these! They just seem to fly so much more responsively and track bang on!

    Can't wait for a chance to really throw it around !

    On a related note - one thing I've noticed with the KBDD mains is that they have a tendency to bend and dish-out over quite a short length of time. It remains to be seen if these Xtreme blades are any better in that respect. However, first impressions really are good!

        Are these the ones with the holes underneath the sticker?

          Yep - that's them. The mcpx versions are the same, and when I got those some time back, I was a bit dubious about the stickers over the holes. However, with the mcpx blades, it never caused a problem. I just found that with the mcpx, the motor didn't seem up to what the blades needed.

          But with the 130X, it felt like it had had a shot in the arm with these. I wonder if the flexing/dishing on the KBDD blades means they tracked worse, losing performance. Time will tell, but my immediate reaction to putting these on was instantly positive!

              Difficult to tell to be honest Rob as haven't flown the stock blades in a while. That said, I never noticed any real difference between stock and KBDD - I just wanted the KBDD for the bright orange to keep it visible at a distance. Even given my limited ability, these just felt better right from the off - more "pop!"

              I'll probably be at Phoenix at the w/e if the weather's good - maybe see you there!

                Update :

                Have now had a chance to take it to an open area and fly it properly(*). These blades really do seem to make a difference! Completely hooked on these blades now and won't be switching back to KBDD or stock anytime soon. Just to be precise, these are the "fast response" blades from Xtreme.

                (*) ie. (very!)-FFF, Fig-8's, circuits, loops and inverted. All done badly with a distinct lack of talent.

                    Errr" what about me.??? no one praises me for being good pilot.!!!
