rakonheli tail slider-crap

Just got my rakonheli tail pitch slider from midland heli.It looks like they have made it from the cheapest material they could find.One end of the slider bent/twisted when i pushed the pin in.No i did not force it!

I couldnt pull the pin out again and then the ball broke off my cheap plastic tail blade grips when attampting remove it.Awesome day!

So now i have to go and buy either a new set of plastic grips for £8.48 or £17.99 for some metal ones and £10-£15 for a titanium tail pitch slider.I can now see why microheli and lynx make titanium versions of the tail pitch slider!! When i can be bothered to pick up the disgraced heli sat in the corner maybe i'll get round to attempting to break the wallet out and buy new parts but for now i just cant be bothered with it,Maybe i'll finally finish my 250 build....
Funny how an attempt to improve something can end up with a broken heli and you get to pay for the privelege of being ****ed off for the evening.

First bad report ive heard! All the ones we have seen so far have been great quality!

How unusual, if Midland cant help you send it to me and I will let Rakon know and get you a replacement! But give them a chance to sort it first!

I dont know whether the pins were too big but they just didn't seem to want to go in,With or without the link in place,
I got one side in eventually but the other side twisted and bent,Then I ended up gauging the hole pretty badly to remove it.
Midland sent me a pm to return it which of course I appreciate but its not really their problem to fix,

I have read great things about the Rakonheli tail slider and I am sure it does a great job on the heli,I just never got to find out

Mine was very fiddly too, very tight pins but with a bit of care it was well worth it, hasn't broken once and improves the tail. The only problems i have read are when the pins aren't tight enough.

Had problems fitting mine took ages to fit the pins, they were very tight. You have to be very careful not to press on the opposite side but only on the side the pin is going in to - if that makes any sense?! You need long nose pliers to press them in.

Installed mine this morning, yes the pins are tight and fiddly, but surely they need to be so they don't fly out?

Much less slop than standard, a quick test flight on the patio proved all was well.
