Overlander 450mah 40c batteries

Ok, need some help setting the countdown on my dx6i. On the stock batteries the countdown is set at 4 mins. When flying the overlanders, at 8 mins they are still going strong, what time would you guys recomending setting the countdown at?

6 mins if that the case, are you flying 3D and in IU, or in normal mode ?

Either way, I think 6 mins is a good enough benchmark. I only get about 4 mins on my gens ace's

That was in idle up, piroflipping, loops, flips, and attempted tic tocs. Actually flew it until 9 mins, still not dying, so didn't want to push the batteries too far.

It's not just the battery. It's the motor as well. The hotter it gets the sooner it will die. Lipos last longer on shorter flights. Keeping an eye on onload volts is a good idea and stopping when you drop to 3.6V and 3.8V off load is reasonable as well. There are no hard and fast rules. The more you ask them to do and the colder they are the quicker they go. In some ways it's good to use them as new lipos will better than the the ones you bought before. Motors are probably more of a problem.
