Refit for the 130x

After loads of flights and many crashes the 130x was getting well worn but still flew ok, but it was time to fit some new bits bearings,tail slider,ect ect so ordered the bits plus my canopy was unrepairable none in the uk at the moment so got a SR 120 and maybe mod it.
Anyone that needs a canopy the SR 120 fits no mods needed,all bits done and it flys great again but I did notice when flying inverted I was running out of pitch when I checked this only had about 5deg neg also mid stick wasn't 0 deg I think with all the crashes the rods get bent and ball links slip.
So I do recomend checking the blades are level when folded at mid stick but make sure you have TH on.

HI fold the blades back in line with boom and with th on at mid stick the blades should be level any gap means its not at zero looking side on if you know what a mean richard

I found that method doesn't work as there is too much slop in the head to give any sort of accurate reading. Mine still flies great though so not all that fussed. It's easier just to see if it has any more or less pitch by doing pitch pumps. Mine has a little more negative but I just fly around it, lol. Lazy, me??

That would drive me bonkers! I'm keen for the best geometry setup I can get. Sloppy and bent links is a nightmare lol.

Thanks but that's just for checking 0 pitch at midstick. what about max pitch and what not? how do you measure that on this small heli? i'd like to know what mine is set to

The problem I had was that there was just enough neg pitch to hover inverted it was that far out, it must have got less and less as time went on and never see it just thought it was all getting worn, untill I replaced a few things and looked at the set up must have had about 18 deg positive and about 5 deg neg wondered why it was bogging down at full pos, sorted now think maybe +12 -12 and flys like new again.

I used the digital display part of my Rc logger pitch gauge, attached with two elastic bands on top of a Main Blade up close the the grip. Its not 100% accurate but its very close.
If you try it, pls ensure your Throttle Hold works and the THR Hold is ON.

No these values will not be the same for the 130X as the blades are longer. Could always recalculate the values using a bit of trig though.
