  • Canopy mount alternative

    Hi all,
Broke the CF rod in my canopy mount, instead of ordering a new one for £5 I cut a piece of 1.5mm CF rod to 55mm then put two pieces of heat shrink on each side, one slightly longer than the other so the canopy grommets fit snug. Works a treat and I reckon it cost me about 70p!! IN YOUR FACE HH!!

I have also seen people on the freak making their own booms and tt's as well. And making them half an inch longer too

That's similar to the way the canopy mounts work on the MCPX X frame. I was considering doing the same when I eventually break mine on the 130x. Glad to see you Sussed it out and it works well
